Anthony D'Amico is a self-taught artist graduating from the school of hard knocks. His interdisciplinary work investigates the intersections between cultures, science, religion, spirituality. Within his work he maintains an attitude of anti-art, anti-culture and anti-establishment. He avoids social and cultural perceptions that inhibit his search for artistic innocence. Furthermore, his conflict with the established art world allows him to create effective pieces for personal satisfaction. As a result, the work remains pure, real and impassioned without the constraints of socially accepted labels and perceptions.
